A shout-out to our visitors at the last business meeting; Peter Dibble and Judith Korau (back again). I hope you found the meeting interesting and we look forward to seeing you again soon.

Thank you to all who helped at the Howick Historic Village painting and the Easter weekend Sausage Sizzle last month. Going by the photos it looks like the painters enjoyed themselves sprucing up the church fence.

Thank you to all members who helped out at the Water Safety Picnic; we couldn't have done it without you. Our big three club events are over for the year, but don't let that stop us from thinking up new ideas.

Happy New Year and welcome back for 2019. I hope you all had a wonderful holiday break with family and are back rearing to go for the coming year. Next big event to look forward to is the Summer Festival on the 17 February.

The first of our three big annual events is almost upon us. i.e. Our Seniors' Christmas Lunch, and special shout-out to our newest member Tina Singh; welcome to our club.

Summer is on the way! The large number of agenda items at the last business meeting lets you know the many things going on in the background.

The last month has seen another successful day’s painting at Howick Historical Village. Finally the weather was kind to us. Painting is a lot of fun when done as a group and the time goes by surprisingly quickly.

Whew! The first Business Meeting is out of the way and we are on a roll for the coming year. Firstly thank you all. It is an honour and a privilege to be elected president for this coming Lions 2018/19 year.
