Howick Lions Water Safety Picnic at Cockle Bay Beach

Come on down to Cockle Bay Beach on Sunday, 26th March for a fun day in support of Howick Volunteer Coastguard.

Outdoor Experience will have sit on top kayaks of various sizes for anyone to take out into the bay. The instructors will fit you with a life jacket and brief you on where to go and what to do. There will always be at least one instructor on the water to monitor the kayaks and provide coaching to help improve your paddling skills!

Drowning Prevention Auckland will be there to give advice on the safe enjoyment of our local beaches, and will have a life-sized board game to play!

Pull up a deck chair and watch the the local scout groups have their annual raft race - which is always a fabulous spectacle.

There'll be a raffle, and a treasure hunt for the littlies with lots of fun prizes to be won. Howick Lions Club will be cooking our "World Famous" (in Howick) sausages and hot chips for the hungry masses.

All money raised on the day is donated to our own Howick Volunteer Coastguard, so come along show your support.
