Howick Lions have been organising and running a free Seniors Christmas Lunch with entertainment at the Owairoa Primary School for more than 20 years and it's now on the calendar of most Seniors around Howick.
The Lions provide a safe, entertaining environment with laughter and good cheer.
The numbers attending is indicative of the interest that Seniors have in this pre-Christmas event, and the numbers attending are generally in excess of 100 each year. Howick Lions organise transport for attendees pickup and return.
Lions Ladies contribute greatly to this event and without their support and help on the day this event would not be possible. Food and drink is provided by Howick Lions and is complimented with a sausage sizzle.
The entertainment is provided by the Eno Sisters and the St Andrews Big Band. A medical professional is on site to assist with any medical matters that may arise.
