Passion. Eloquent. Caring
Those are the three words that we would use to describe Lily Moore who graced us at our May Dinner Meeting. She has a very long standing passion for the works of William Shakespeare. Her talk to us was extremely eloquent especially for a young person. Lily is a very caring person and wants to help and guide others to find the joy that she has for “The Bard”. Lily is a member of the 2021 Shakespeare Globe Centre New Zealand Young Shakespeare Company.
When borders open Lily and the rest of the young Shakespeare cohort are set to go to London where they will perform at Shakespeare’s Globe which is hopefully opening on May 19. Over the years, Lily has performed many times at Harlequin Theatre and been in countless Howick College Productions and other local youth theatre performances. Lily is a Howick Lions Derek Wigzell Award winner, awarded in 2019. We know that we made the correct call in assisting Lily to travel to the UK.
