Greetings Lions
Firstly, I would like to thank members for the opportunity of being the president of our Lions Club; I hope I live up to your expectations. We had our first post-lockdown meeting at Dannemora on the 15th July. It was very pleasing to see the participation of our newer members, for which I am grateful, and I am confident this will continue.
We, (the longer serving members) must remember to encourage our newer members; they may have a totally different perspective when looking at various projects, both old and new. Please give this your consideration.
It has been reported that our only remaining charter member, Brian Harris, is in very poor health, and Gordon Myer has sustained a back injury with his movement compromised. Rex Buckley is slowly recovering, and Ian Packwood has had some more bits removed.
With the help of Secretary Alan and others, I have worked on the outline programme for the coming year, with the focus firmly placed on youth activities and several social events to encourage bonhomie within the club; It is hoped we will experience full participation
